In today's fast growing digital world, crypto scams have been the most engaged occupation of most cyber criminals, they come in forms of mysterious profiles or the impersonation of most popular crypto traders or brokage firm via social media platforms and any other means possible, and over the years these groups of criminals has done more harm than good.

In this article, we are going to talk and spill some info on the common tactics used by this online crypto thief, some ways they operate, and how to spot them and be safe and avoid being a victim, so stay tuned till the end.

Most tactics used by these crypto theft

These cyber criminals are somehow different from the actual cyber criminals we know they do not come in form of blackmailing or demanding ransom forcefully, instead these guys come in a way that is even more cunning than blackmailing, a method that even the most violent man or woman can be calm and trust them easily, and they do this with strong words of affirmation to sway the emotions of their victims and they also possess fake testimonials of current withdrawals of previous participants that never took place . They come with the popular investment tactics, the GET RICH QUICK tactic, that almost everybody wants to know about, and this tactic quickly brushes individuals off their feet's making them fall into this massive lie cooked up and served by these crypto scammers, bringing them offers that doesn't even make sense, like investing $500 and earning $15,000 in just 7 days, how does that even make sense?🤔. As crazy as it sounds, most individuals also fall victim to these wrong offers mostly because of GREED, and mostly because of some physical or financial circumstances best known to them simply because of the high ROI (return on investment) weight while others fall mostly because they trust these popular crypto traders or brokage firm being impersonated.

How do they operate?

One major way of keeping yourself safe from these cyber criminals or online crypto theft is to know how they operate, some of these ways are listed below:

  • Fake profiles or impersonation:

This is the first step these crypto theft takes before engaging in their online criminal activities, they use various social media platforms like FACEBOOK, INSTAGRAM, TICTOK, TWITTER and even popular chatting platforms like TELEGRAM and WHATSAPP.

After getting an account on any of these social media platforms, they start impersonating their desired popular crypto traders or brokerage firm and start mass-following, mostly known or called “BOMBING” by them. HAHAHA, sorry for the laugh, it somehow sounded funny to me.

  • Scripted manner of approach:

Many crypto scammers today use one manner of approach, because they are provided with a certain file or document which they call the “FORMAT” or the “MONEY BIBLE” which contains hundreds and thousands of responds for each response given by their victims, this shows that they are always prepared.

The most popular starting phrase of most crypto scammers is the “Hello (your profile name), how are you doing today” text. This is what they use as their manner of approach because it is already in the script. And they mostly move forward to the next question to find out which of the field their victim is, they ask “How your trading has been going?” just to know how far you are enlightened and how to start the tricking by dropping the killer move question “Have you joined or registered to my or our investment program?” on hearing this an average individual would like to know more about this program, and then the ridiculous false offers would be poured out to capture the individual's attention.

  • Professional investment websites:

These fraudsters actually have advanced websites; they use for their fraudulent activities. Websites that are even more advanced than that of the real original investment firms, and because of this, their victims tend to believe them, thinking that this is the right place for their investment.

  • Only accept crypto payment and gift card payment:

One smart way of catching these crypto scammer's is through they website payment methods available on their fake investment websites, they never accept bank deposit and credit/debit card payment since these methods are easily traceable, instead they use only crypto payment and gift card payment cause these methods are untraceable, easy to obtain and they easily get away with that.

Avoid being a victim!

One major way of avoiding being a victim, is to get rid of the “GET RICH QUICK” mentality get rid of the mindset of being rich overnight and focus on building your wealth gradually by learning useful online skills if you are interested in the digital word, secondly think deep before accepting any strange request or replying suspicious messages in other not to fall victim to these cyber criminals clutches.

So be vigilant and watch out for ways they operate in order to spot them before they even start their extortion.

Conclusion

I hope with these few tips you will be able to easily spot these cyber criminals and be 6 times ahead of the game.

Great post! It's so important to stay vigilant and protect ourselves from online crypto scammers. Always verify the source before engaging in any transactions, be cautious of too-good-to-be-true offers, and never share your private keys or sensit
